This Refund Policy explains when a membership payment may be refunded, how to submit a request and how Mypartener LTD assesses service-delivery and billing disputes. It applies to one-time membership purchases made through the website, mobile application or an authorised payment channel.

1 Key principles

  • All memberships are one-time purchases and do not renew automatically.
  • Access to digital membership features may begin immediately after payment confirmation and activation.
  • Mypartener provides access to matrimonial-platform features; it does not sell or guarantee a match, response, engagement or marriage.
  • This Policy does not exclude any remedy or refund right that cannot lawfully be excluded under Mauritian law.

2 Situations in which a refund may be approved

Subject to verification, Mypartener may provide a full or proportionate refund where:

  • the same membership was charged more than once for the same account and period;
  • the amount charged was different from the amount expressly authorised at checkout;
  • payment was completed but the purchased membership was not activated within a reasonable period because of a fault attributable to Mypartener;
  • a material technical failure attributable to Mypartener prevented access to the paid service and was not remedied within a reasonable period after notice;
  • the service delivered was materially different from the plan description accepted at checkout;
  • Mypartener cancels a paid service for reasons unrelated to the member’s breach and a material unused portion remains; or
  • a refund is required by applicable law, a payment-service rule binding on Mypartener, or a final decision of a competent authority.

3 Situations that normally do not qualify

Unless mandatory law requires otherwise, a refund will not normally be provided merely because:

  • the member did not find a preferred match, did not receive a response, or did not marry;
  • the member changed their mind after paid features were activated or used;
  • the member did not use the service during the membership period;
  • another member rejected, blocked or stopped communicating with the member;
  • the member failed to read the plan description, these Terms or the applicable policies before purchase;
  • access was suspended or terminated because of fraud, material misrepresentation, unlawful conduct or a serious breach of the Terms;
  • a third-party bank, card issuer, telecommunications provider or device caused the problem and the Mypartener service was available; or
  • the request concerns dissatisfaction with matters outside the features promised by Mypartener.

4 Request period

Submit a refund request as soon as reasonably possible and, where practicable, within 7 calendar days after the transaction or after discovering the relevant billing or activation problem. A late request may still be considered where the delay was reasonable or applicable law requires consideration.

For the one-day Trial membership, any activation or access problem should be reported promptly during the membership period so that Mypartener has a reasonable opportunity to investigate and restore access.

5 How to request a refund

Email info@mypartener.com with the subject “Refund Request” and provide:

  • your full name and registered email address or mobile number;
  • your profile or account identifier;
  • the membership purchased and date of payment;
  • the transaction reference and payment receipt;
  • the reason for the request; and
  • screenshots or other relevant evidence, where available.

Do not send complete card numbers, security codes, passwords or one-time passwords. Mypartener may request additional non-sensitive information reasonably necessary to verify the transaction and claim.

6 Assessment process

Mypartener will review payment records, activation status, login and feature-use records, support history and relevant technical evidence. Acknowledgement will normally be sent within 3 business days, and Mypartener will aim to communicate a decision within 10 business days after receiving the information reasonably required to assess the request.

Where only part of the purchased service was affected or a material portion was already supplied, an appropriate proportionate refund, service extension or other reasonable remedy may be offered, subject to applicable law and the member’s agreement where required.

7 Approved refunds

Approved refunds will normally be returned to the original payment method. Processing times after approval depend on the bank, card network or payment provider and may be outside Mypartener’s control. Any refund amount will be stated in Mauritian Rupees unless the original payment or payment provider requires otherwise.

8 Unauthorised transactions and chargebacks

If you believe a payment was unauthorised, contact Mypartener and your bank or payment provider promptly. Mypartener may suspend the affected account while investigating and may provide the payment provider with relevant transaction, acceptance, activation and usage evidence.

Members should contact Mypartener first where practical so that a service or billing issue can be resolved promptly. This does not remove any right to contact a bank, payment provider, regulator or competent authority.

9 Promotions and discounts

Where a refund is approved for a discounted purchase, it will be calculated using the amount actually paid, not the undiscounted list price. Promotional credits or complimentary extensions have no cash value unless stated otherwise or required by law.

10 Relationship with cancellation

Cancelling or closing an account stops future use of the account but does not automatically reverse a membership that has already been activated. Because memberships do not renew automatically, no future recurring charge needs to be cancelled. See the Cancellation Policy for account-closure procedures.

11 Complaints and statutory rights

If you disagree with a refund decision, reply to info@mypartener.com and request an internal review, explaining the reason and supplying any additional evidence. Nothing in this Policy limits rights or remedies available under applicable Mauritian law. Consumers may also contact the competent Mauritian consumer-protection authority or seek independent legal advice.
